PoGO – Pokémon Go: Rival week with two new mon and global challenge

On April 13, 2021, the next Rival Week event will start in Pokémon Go. For the collectors among you, it will bring two new Pokémon, Algitt and Scampisto. In addition, you can of course look forward to Demeteros (animal spirit) and a renewed offensive by Team Rocket, as well as a new Global Challenge. Rejoice collectors! Because on April 13, 2021, the new event Rival Week will start in Pokémon Go. And as the name suggests, rival Pokémon will be unleashed on each other. The developers from Niantic celebrate this with the release of two new pocket monsters from the Kalos region, namely Algitt and Scampisto. On top of that, the animal spirit form of Demeteros awaits you in the difficult raid battles of Tier 5. And if you’re up for it, you can prove yourself in raid battles as part of a Global Challenge to unlock double the amount of capture stardust for all trainers around the globe. Update as of April 13, 2021: The Global Challenge for Rivalry Week requires trainers around the globe to play 40,000,000 raids. Once this is accomplished, the double stardust bonus for catching Pokémon will be activated.
Rivalry Week in Pokémon Go begins on April 13, 2021 at 10:00 AM and ends on April 18, 2021 at 8:00 PM.
Algitt and Scampisto appear in Pokémon GO: You will encounter them in the wild, in Raid battles, and as rewards for Field Research projects.
Demeteros in Animal Spirit form appears: you can challenge the Wealth Pokémon in level 5 Raid battles.
Prove yourself in the Global Challenge Arena: Team up with Trainers around the world to win as many Raid battles as possible and unlock twice as much Fang Stardust for the duration of Rivalry Week!
Pokémon known for rivalries such as Kicklee, Nockchan, Makuhita, Meditie, Sengo, and Vipitis appear more frequently in the wild.
These Pokémon hatch on 5-km eggs during the event: Machollo, Rabauz, Elekid, Magby, Makuhita, Meditie, Sengo, and Vipitis.
Raid battles are also taken over by rival Pokémon! Pokémon like Nidoqueen, Nidoking, Sengo and Vipitis appear there!
You can encounter rival Pokémon like Algitt and Scampisto in exclusive field research projects.
We’ve been told that Team GO Rocket is taking over more PokéStops during the event, as well as increasing the use of balloons.

Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps. The game is played mostly outdoors and uses landmarks, landmarks and other notable or eye-catching objects in the world to position either PokéStops or arenas there for you to battle for supremacy.
