PoGO – Pokémon Go: Temporary research for Galar Ponita

The developers of Pokémon Go keep their word! They have brought a Temporary Research on Galar Ponita into the game, which includes only two steps, but still earns you a little XP, stardust and two encounters with Galar Ponita. We’re keeping our fingers crossed for Shiny Galar Ponita.

Update from June 1, 2021: The developers of Pokémon Go have kept their word and delivered! In the game, you can now find a Temporary Research on Galar Ponita under the Today view, which only includes two steps, but of course still earns you a few rewards. Below we have the overview for you; the tasks should not be difficult for any crafty trainer. The Temporary Research is available until June 8, 2021 at 10:00.

Original news from May 28, 2021: Again, a “silly” problem has appeared in Pokémon Go. As part of the Illuminating Legends X event, trainers unlocked the Shiny variant of Galar Ponita. This allowed the colorful Hottehü with luck as an iridescent from the research breakthrough or from 7km eggs to get. However, not between May 18, 2021 and May 24, 2021. And because that happened, compensation beckons you.

Temporary research on Galar Ponita

What exactly caused the problem that it was impossible to not get hold of a Shiny Galar Ponita for seven days, the developers of Pokémon Go do not reveal. However, via Twitter and also in the collection of known problems in the game, they announce that Galar Ponita will hatch more often from 7km eggs and that, on top of that, a Limited Research should bring you more Galar Ponita and special items.

The replacement, which is supposed to provide increased chances of getting the screwed up iridescent, is time-limited, though. The Temporary Research as well as the increased chance of Galar Ponita from the Friendship Eggs will be available from June 1, 2021 from 10:00 am until June 8, 2021 at 10:00 am. Unsurprisingly, after all, the Research Breakthrough Pokémon changes from Galar Ponita to Perlu on June 1, 2021 starting at 10:00 PM. Pokémon GO

Pokémon Go is the mobile spin-off of Nintendo’s popular Pokémon game series for Android and iOS. It is a so-called “location-based game”, i.e. a game that uses the player’s immediate surroundings. It is based on the principle of augmented reality.

Pokémon Map: Between landmarks and sights

Pokémon Go uses a Global Positioning System (GPS) to determine the player’s location and displays it on a map that also represents the playing field. The map is based on OpenStreetMap maps.
