IMMORTAL DESCRIPTION

Prior to the loss of Aiur, experienced Protoss fighters injured in battle had the option of transplanting themselves into a Dragoon exoskeleton to further serve their people. Few of the old Dragoons exist today. The sacred shrine used to create the Dragoons was overrun by the Zerg and, like the Protoss homeworld, is long lost.

The surviving Dragoons became the Immortals, equipped with twin phase disruptors and enhanced energy shields. These can withstand even the most powerful attacks, but are vulnerable to the aimed attacks of weaker enemies. Heavily armed and armored, the Immortals provide cover fire for the fanatical Berserker Legions, neutralizing enemy artillery and ranged attacks. Under this covering fire, the berserkers can advance further towards the enemy and complete their work of destruction.

But the loss of every immortal is painful. These ancient warriors are a dying species, sworn to lay down their lives for the protoss at the end of their race’s age. In the last of all wars, they are at the forefront, buying their people a few precious days or hours with their lives. Soon they will be just a memory.

PROTOSS

General Information

With their advanced technologies, the Protoss manage to spread fear and terror throughout the Starcraft universe. A variety of different combat robots, as well as some specially trained fighters who possess psi powers, are available to the Protoss in their battles against other forces. However, these also have their price, the training of fighters and upgrading with robots, not only devours vast amounts of resources, but also costs a lot of time.

The Protoss are considered the oldest and most developed race, but their old culture also has disadvantages. The Protoss naturally see themselves as autocrats and do not adapt to the new dangers, they remain in their rigid caste system and preserve the strict hierarchy in their culture at all costs.
