PHOENIX DESCRIPTION

The Phoenix is ​​a fast and deadly starship that is increasingly replacing the older Scouts and Corsairs as fighters. Phoenix patrols are a common sight, especially at the limits of their territory, where they seek out and repel any threat from space. The Phoenix’s twin ion blasters are excellent for aerial duels and can also be used to fight against light ground units.

As advanced and deadly as the Phoenix is, often a patrol unit will face off against a far larger number of Zerg or Terran. To compensate for this weakness, the pilots of the Phoenix developed a trick against these masses of weaker opponents: The Phoenix can use its ion blasters to overload its warp field, creating a short-lived destructive storm.

While the stormy discharge is extremely powerful and capable of destroying large numbers of enemies at once, it leaves the phoenix maimed and powerless for a while. Cunning enemies have made it a habit to flee from system overload, only to return moments later to destroy the helpless enemy. In return, the Phoenix pilots have devised a method of creating a web of destruction through staggered discharges.

While frowned upon by Protoss commanders, these desperate tactics are tacitly accepted as a necessary evil in combat in these desperate times. Through extraordinary dedication and courage, these courageous pilots have done a lot to even the balance of power.

General Information

With their advanced technologies, the Protoss manage to spread fear and terror throughout the Starcraft universe. A variety of different combat robots, as well as some specially trained fighters who possess psi powers, are available to the Protoss in their battles against other forces. However, these also have their price, the training of fighters and upgrading with robots, not only devours vast amounts of resources, but also costs a lot of time.

The Protoss are considered the oldest and most developed race, but their old culture also has disadvantages. The Protoss naturally see themselves as autocrats and do not adapt to the new dangers, they remain in their rigid caste system and preserve the strict hierarchy in their culture at all costs.
