Valorant already made our mouths water with the Elderflame dragon skins. Now comes the next leak, which slams some spectacular skins in front of us: Oni-Skins & Sakura-Skins.
Valorant leaks come more often than we can change our underwear – although Riot certainly has more exciting ones to show. And we’re going to take a look right at it too…. on the skins, that is.
Regardless of which hardworking dataminers were at work this time, they did a great job. The skins they fished out are absolutely insane. You don’t have to be a fan of samurais or Japanese culture to celebrate this:
Oni Skins
The Shogun is thirsting for these skins – and a bit of iced tea too!
According to the Twitter account Valorant Leaks, the skins will be available starting July 22 at 11 p.m. CET and will cost 7,100 Valorant points.
The Oni skins are based on the design of the Japanese Samurai and Pechin. Like the lacquered shoulder plates of elite warriors, individual elements with finely decorated artwork nestle against the body of the weapon. The final gold edges of the plates also look very noble.
Stylized samurai demon details give the weapons a delicate finish. The demonic look culminates in the secondary and melee weapon. The knife is a double-bladed gauntlet in the shape of a samurai mask. The blades represent two saber teeth. All we can say is chapeau to the design team! At least that’s what we’ll say if the leak proves to be true.
The attention to detail is also clear from the rest of the weapon concept. They also have the look of an old muzzle-loading rifle, which is in keeping with the heyday of the samurai. Speaking of the prime, the prime of cherries is called Sakura in Japan and that brings us right to the next skin leak.
Sakura skins
The design of the Sakura Skins is a bit more modern. The design looks very clean and technical. But the pattern looks like a work of art from the pen of Katsushika Hokusai.
It doesn’t get any more Japanese than this. The skins feature Mount Fuji and the red sun on a white background – a beautiful version of the national flag. And on top of that, there are cherry blossoms, one of the most important symbols in Japanese culture. Hopefully this leak is not a hoax either.

How to get skins in Valorant
Everyone uses the same weapons in Valorant, but that doesn’t mean every weapon has to look the same. After all, you’re going to spend a lot of time looking at your weapon, so looking at it might as well be.
Fortunately, the folks at Riot have the perfect solution for players who need to look good while shooting enemies. Skins are cosmetic add-ons that can change the physical appearance of a weapon, as well as animations and audio effects.

How do I get skins in Valorant?
Unlike other popular multi-shooter games, Valorant doesn’t have any special skins to change and customize the look of the agent – at least for now. What they do offer is a collection of skins that can change and improve the way weapons look and feel while playing the game.
They don’t necessarily improve your gameplay, but sometimes looking good is enough to win a match, right?
Spend real money
This is possibly the easiest way to get the weapon skin you want but don’t have the time to unlock. Valorant Points or VP is the premium currency used in the game to unlock agents, skins and more from the in-game store.
Here is an example of converting real money to VP on the North American server:
- $4.99 – 475 VP, no bonus VP, 475 VP total.
- $9.99 – 950 VP, 50 bonus VP, 1000 VP total
- $19.99 – 1900 VP, 150 bonus VP, 2050 total
- $34.99 – 3325 VP, 325 bonus VP, 3650 total

As a frame of reference, Valorant Store Featured Collections are around 7,100 VP. Individual weapon skins are slightly less expensive and generally range from 1,775 VP to 4,350 VP each, with melee weapon skins at the higher end of the price scale.
Before you start searching for weapon skins, you should know that featured bundles change every few weeks and individual skin deals change every 24 hours. So what you see today may not be what you see tomorrow.
