The Eye of the Storm combines elements from Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin, and is available to players of level 61 and above. Buffed’s WoW guide will help you fight successfully.
With the release of the first expansion for World of Warcraft, The Burning Crusade, Blizzard also released another battlefield. Combining elements from both Warsong Gulch and Arathi Basin, the Eye of the Storm is accessible to players of level 61 and above. 15 players face each other on each side to gain control of four strategic points. There is also a flag in the middle of the battlefield that you can use to lead your team to victory faster. To do this, you must capture them and then bring them safely to a point you control.
Victory Requirements
Similar to Arathi Basin, the first team to collect 1,600 points wins. Depending on the number of areas you control, your counter increases every second.
If you capture the flag and bring it to an area you control, you get bonus points. These also depend on the number of territories you control.
Layout of the battlefield and special features
The Eye of the Storm has a symmetrical layout. Two flying islands are connected by three bridges each, one in the east, one in the west and one in the middle. The four areas to control are Devil Robber Ruins (southwest), Mage Tower (northwest), Draenei Ruins (northeast), and Blood Elf Tower (southeast), arranged in a square. The Alliance followers start in the north, while the Horde invades from the south and can easily conquer the next areas accordingly.
Capturing the four points works a little differently than the towers in Alterac Valley or the five resource points in Arathi Basin. If you are near an area, a slider appears in the interface that shows who owns the area or if it is currently not occupied by any faction. To move the slider in your favor, you need to gather more players than the opponent in that area. The more players you are, the faster the slider moves and the faster the territory is in your hands.
On the middle connecting bridge is the flag, through which you can get bonus points. It works the same way as in Warsong Gulch: click on it undisturbed for 8 seconds and you’re done. If you drop it and the opponent clicks the flag, it immediately belongs to him and he can’t return it to the flag point.
Last but not least, you will occasionally find a random buff at each of the four points: Boots of Speed, Berserker Buff, Regeneration Buff.
What is WoW Classic?
World of Warcraft Classic is a true recreation of the original WoW as you know it from 2006. All parts of the game – from combat mechanics and talent trees to character models and zones – have been recreated, contributing to the authentic experience.
Getting Started
All players with an active World of Warcraft subscription or game time on their accounts have access toWoW Classic at no additional cost.
- Open the Blizzard Battle.net Desktop App and select World of Warcraft from the menu.
- Select World of Warcraft Classic from the Version menu. If you have more than one World of Warcraft account, you’ll see a second Account drop-down list. In this column, select the active account you want to play with.
- Click the Install button. The progress bar will tell you when your game is ready to play.
- Click the Play button when the installation is complete.
You will need to select the realm you want to play on from several different realm types. Make sure you choose the same realm as your friends – in World of Warcraft Classic, you can only group with characters that are on the same realm as you!
